Brief:
When a major automotive manufacturer brings all of their North American dealers together for a week of meetings it's never a small event, and it's not just a time for boring meetings. After dealing with the day's business, a recent group of dealers found themselves treated to a previously un-announced concert featuring Bon Jovi.
The concert was held on the same stage as the week's speeches and car reveals. Due to an extremely condensed production schedule, Prelite was brought in to set up an on-site pre-visualization studio. Using ESP Vision software we were able to design and program our lighting and LED elements concurrently with the load-in of the main room. This gave us nearly two additional days of critical programming time for the business meetings and car reveals.
Creative elements included over 100 automated luminaires and a wall of Element Labs VersaTubes; all of which were pixel-mapped via Art-Net connections through the Martin Maxedia media server.
After we moved to the actual rig, Bon Jovi's lighting designer arrived with his console to pre-program the concert lighting in the Prelite room while we were rehearsing and running the business meetings. As soon as the last meeting was over, the concert LD's console was moved to the main room for his final hours of programming.
The concert used the exact same lighting rig as the business meetings.
